The Story Behind NETBYFRIDAY

I became a full-time content creator in 2023, but before that, I spent years building and running my own beauty business. So when I transitioned into the creator industry, I wasn't new to entrepreneurship. I knew what it meant to manage clients, build relationships, negotiate prices, and be responsible for making a business profitable.

What I wasn't prepared for was how unorganized the business of being a creator could be.

From the outside looking in, being an influencer can seem pretty straightforward. You create content, partner with brands, attend events, and get paid. But there's an entire business happening behind everything people see online.

There are contracts to review, rates to negotiate, deliverables to manage, invoices to send, deadlines to remember, and payments to chase down. You're constantly communicating with brand representatives, agencies, and publicists while trying to maintain the creativity that made those opportunities possible in the first place.

And somehow, we're expected to keep track of all of this between our inboxes, spreadsheets, calendars, and Notes apps.

I've personally experienced what it's like to have multiple brand partnerships happening at once, thousands of dollars in outstanding invoices, and no single place to see exactly where everything stands.

I've had to go digging through emails to remember what was agreed upon, calculate when a NET45 payment should arrive, and mentally keep track of which brands I needed to follow up with.

Meanwhile, I still had content to create, a life to live, and other businesses I wanted to build.

At some point, I started thinking about how strange it was that creators could generate thousands of dollars in revenue, build audiences larger than some traditional media companies, and work with globally recognized brands, yet still have so little infrastructure supporting the business behind their influence.

We have platforms that help us edit content, schedule posts, and analyze engagement. But what about everything that happens after a brand reaches out? What about the contracts, relationships, invoices, cash flow, and actual business decisions?

I didn't want another app telling me how many followers I gained.

I wanted something that could tell me how much money I was owed, what needed my attention, and where my business actually stood.

That's where the idea for NETBYFRIDAY started.

The name itself is a little inside joke for anyone who's ever worked with brands. In this industry, you get very familiar with payment terms like NET15, NET30, NET45, and sometimes even NET60. You can finish a campaign, publish your content, and still spend weeks waiting for the money you've already earned.

And if you've ever followed up on an invoice, you've probably heard some version of, "It should be processed by Friday."

I wanted to build something that understood that experience.

NETBYFRIDAY is a business workspace created specifically for the way creators work. A place to organize brand partnerships, manage contacts, keep up with contracts and deliverables, track invoices, and understand your revenue without needing five different systems to do it.

And with our AI Advisor, I wanted to take it one step further. Instead of just storing information, what if your workspace could actually help you understand it? What if you could ask which brands still owed you money, what deadlines were coming up, or who you should follow up with, and get an answer based on your own business records?

That's the kind of tool I wish I'd had when I became a full-time creator.

I'm building NETBYFRIDAY from the perspective of someone who is still actively working in this industry. I'm still negotiating partnerships, creating content, sending invoices, and navigating the same challenges as the people I'm building this for.

I don't believe creators need to become accountants or spend hours on administrative work to run successful businesses. But I do believe we deserve better systems.

Because the creator economy has grown into a multibillion-dollar industry, and the people powering it should have access to tools that help them operate like the businesses they've become.

NETBYFRIDAY isn't about becoming a better influencer. It's about becoming a better business owner.

And for me, that's what this next chapter of the creator economy should look like.

Welcome to NETBYFRIDAY.

Run your creator business like a business.
